Modern radiological procedures in diagnostics and therapy mean that protective clothing is often worn for longer than in the past. At the same time, the requirements vary considerably depending on the area of application, meaning that different solutions are required.

Victoria collection
Radiation protective clothing especially for women
The Victoria collection stands for innovative radiation protection clothing that is specifically tailored to the female anatomy. Thanks to specially designed armholes, the Victoria RA631 vest and Victoria RA636 coat provide reliable protection for sensitive breast tissue without restricting freedom of movement. Shaping princess seams at the front ensure a close fit, while an elastic insert at the back provides additional comfort and an optimum fit.
The X-ray protection vest and the radiation protection coat have been specially developed for the female figure and offer an ideal fit and high wearing comfort. Both models do not have a complete front overlap and are equipped with integrated shoulder pads as standard.
The vest has a two-part design, which reduces the impact of heat or weight on the body as much as possible. It can also be perfectly combined with the regular radiation protection skirt of the RA631 costume.
The coat is closed with a Velcro fastener and therefore fits correctly straight away. An elastic stretch belt (10 cm wide, included) provides continuous support and additional comfort.
Both versions are made from a PFC-free outer material in accordance with the OEKOTEX® 100 standard and use phthalate-free protective materials with recyclable lead content.
Vest & skirt RA631
All-round protection: RA631 BALANCE
X-ray protective clothing – well thought out down to the last detail. Intelligent functions ensure significantly better weight distribution compared to conventional X-ray aprons. The Balance RA631 costume series impresses with its high material flexibility and reliable radiation protection – for noticeable relief in everyday working life.
The fully overlapping front sections ensure the desired lead equivalent in the front area. At the same time, the range offers an ideal fit and high wearing comfort, making it particularly suitable for longer periods of use.
A noticeable reduction in the weight load on the spine, integrated shoulder pads and high-quality materials also contribute to comfort. A PFC-free outer material in accordance with the OEKOTEX® 100 standard and phthalate-free protective materials with recyclable lead content are used.
The series is also available as a version specially developed for women in the Victoria collection.
The patented Balance RA631 costume series offers noticeably better relief compared to classic X-ray aprons and impresses with its sophisticated details.
Fully overlapping front parts enable lead equivalent values of Pb 0.25 mm, Pb 0.35 mm or Pb 0.50 mm in the front area. This ensures reliable protection combined with high wearing comfort thanks to optimum weight distribution, high material suppleness and flexibility.
Incorporated, color-contrasting safety zones ensure additional protection. In the side area, the vest and skirt are already equipped with the full lead equivalent of the front part over a width of more than 12 cm. If the front wing is located within this zone, up to 60% of the body circumference is covered with maximum protection.
Soft shoulder pads are integrated as standard. For further relief, the model can be combined with the RA BYGGA® shoulder bridge
Coat RA632
All-round protection: RA632 SYNERGY
This patented coat impresses with an optimum ratio of weight and radiation protection and supports comfortable working in everyday life. Safety, freedom of movement and back relief were the focus during development.
Fully overlapping front sections ensure the selected lead equivalent in the front area. An ideal fit and high wearing comfort are supported by the sophisticated design and integrated shoulder pads.
An elastic stretch belt (16 cm wide, included) provides continuous support and additional relief.
A PFC-free outer material in accordance with the OEKOTEX® 100 standard and phthalate-free protective materials with recyclable lead content are used.
Heavy all-round protection models can lead to a high level of physical strain. The patented Synergy RA632 series was specifically developed to counteract this and make everyday work significantly easier.
The coat can be easily fastened with Velcro at chest height and immediately fits correctly. Overlapping front sections ensure the required front protection from side seam to side seam, while a double-layer construction creates defined safety zones in sensitive areas. If the front wing is located within this zone, up to 60% of the body circumference is covered with maximum protection.
An elasticated belt (included) relieves pressure on the shoulders without constricting. Thanks to the variable press stud placket, it can be adjusted to the perfect waist height and fastened to one or both sides of the coat. An additional snap fastener at the bottom ensures a secure fit.
For even more relief, the coat can be combined with the RA Brygga® shoulder bridge.

TWIECE RA645
The new two-piece apron impresses with reliable radiation protection and well thought-out weight distribution for comfortable working.
A perfect fit and high wearing comfort make them suitable for both short and long periods of use. Integrated shoulder pads provide additional relief, while the flexible snap buckle fastening on the vest and skirt allows for individual adjustment.

Two-piece – perfect for everyday work.
As a further development of the Basic front protection model, which has been tried and tested for decades, the RA645 is the ideal choice for radiation protection in conventional X-ray. It is designed for both short and long wearing times and offers reliable protection at the crucial moment.
The division into vest and skirt ensures optimum weight distribution on the hips and shoulders. This distributes the load evenly and noticeably relieves the back and shoulders – even with a higher protective weight.
It is fastened using straps with snap buckles that can be closed easily and securely at the front.
Front protection skirt RA641
Front protection: RA641 EXTENDED
This protective solution is specially designed for a wide range of seated activities with exclusively frontal radiation exposure and offers reliable protection in any working position.
An integrated gonad protection provides additional safety in a seated position. The well thought-out fit and optimized wearing comfort enable comfortable working, supported by shoulder pads as standard.

Optimized radiation protection for seated applications.
Radiation protection aprons have long been standard equipment in specialist areas such as urology and anaesthesiology. However, conventional front protection aprons are primarily designed for use in a standing position. During seated interventions, this can lead to increased radiation exposure, particularly in the area of the gonads. This is caused by the resulting radiation protection gap when the apron rests on the knees (see Horsburgh et al.).
Sophisticated design for more safety
To ensure reliable protection even when seated, an integrated gonad guard is attached to the inside of the apron. This is positioned protectively in front of the gonads while the apron rests on the legs. At the same time, the design prevents the apron from slipping and thus reduces the risk of additional exposure. Enlarged side wings in the lower area ensure that the apron remains securely in position even when moving.
Even when standing, the RA641 offers complete protection from the neck to below the knees. The side wings can be easily fixed at the back if required, so that unrestricted working remains possible. Soft shoulder pads are integrated as standard.

Front apron RA650
Front guard: RA650 ERGONOMIC
The RA650 offers comprehensive protection in the front area and in the upper back below the shoulder seam.
It is ideal for applications with exclusively frontal radiation exposure and impresses with its comfortable fit and good wearing comfort. The design allows the apron to slide off easily and thus supports freedom of movement in everyday working life.
An optional version without protection in the back area is available for further weight reduction. Integrated shoulder pads provide additional relief.

RA650 with NovaLite – comfortable even when worn for long periods.
Equipped with NovaLite radiation protection material, the RA650 series meets the basic physiological requirements of radiological workplaces with long wearing times. The MAVIG radiation protection material offers an optimum ratio of weight to protection. Soft shoulder pads are integrated as standard.
Wide cross straps for greater freedom of movement
The comfortable, wide cross straps allow the apron to slide off easily – even through the sterile surgical gown – using the Velcro fastener in the front area. Only high-quality Velcro fastening systems are used.
With the RA650 model, you can also choose whether the back wings are fitted with 0.25 mm Pb protection or whether this is dispensed with in favor of further weight reduction.
Front apron RA660
Front guard: RA660 COMFORT
Many users make this X-ray apron their favorite among the front protection models. It is easy to put on and take off, has a body-hugging fit and a secure fit with noticeable relief for the shoulders.
The apron is ideal for a wide range of applications with exclusively frontal radiation exposure and is also designed for longer wearing times. An optional version without protection in the back area is available for additional weight reduction.
Shoulder pads are integrated as standard. A PFC-free outer material in accordance with the OEKOTEX® 100 standard and phthalate-free protective materials with recyclable lead content are used.
The exceptional wearing comfort of the Comfort RA660 model range is further enhanced by a wide stretch insert on the back wings.
Equipped with NovaLite radiation protection material, the X-ray apron meets the physiological requirements of radiological workplaces with long wearing times. The MAVIG radiation protection material impresses with its excellent weight-to-protection ratio.
Soft shoulder pads are integrated as standard and contribute to further relief.

The thyroid sternum shield with press stud connection is compatible with all MAVIG model series and can be securely attached to the X-ray protective clothing.
It is optionally available with a magnetic or replaceable Velcro fastener, offering additional flexibility in use.

The thyroid gland is one of the organs that is particularly sensitive to radiation and should be consistently protected during dose-intensive examinations.
The RA614 thyroid sternum shield impresses with its sophisticated cut and optimum fit – while offering a high level of radiation protection. It is equipped with a firmly sewn-on Velcro fastener at the back of the neck as standard.
The protection is also optionally available with an exchangeable Velcro fastener or practical magnetic fastener, offering additional flexibility in use.
Shoulder protector RA637
Shoulder X-ray protection: RA637 BOLERO
The newly developed Bolero offers an innovative alternative to the sleeve and significantly reduces radiation exposure due to scattered radiation in the area of the shoulder-corner joint.
It allows the greatest possible freedom of movement and is quick and easy to put on.

MAVIG Bolero RA637 – protection and freedom of movement in everyday working life.
The “Bolero” shoulder protector can be combined with all MAVIG all-round and frontal protective aprons and is worn directly under the X-ray protective clothing. It can be fastened quickly and easily using a Velcro fastener in the front area.
The open design under the arm ensures maximum freedom of movement and at the same time effectively reduces lateral scattered radiation in the armhole area.
With a standard lead equivalent of 0.25 mm Pb, the Bolero offers a balanced combination of protection and flexibility for everyday use.
The shoulder protector is manufactured in the color “titanium” as standard. The size and protective material are matched to the selected X-ray protective clothing.
Headgear
Radiation protection hoods RA611 & RA612
Two different types of headgear are available to meet the individual requirements of users and offer a balanced combination of radiation protection, weight and wearing comfort.
Thanks to their sophisticated design, they can be optimally adjusted to the respective head circumference. Temperature-regulating Outlast® material is used as standard.

X-ray protection for the skull – targeted and well thought out.
Working in interventional radiology can be associated with increased radiation risks. In particular, the potential exposure of the skull and the associated risks are regularly discussed in specialist circles. Without effective upper table scatter radiation protection, increased radiation exposure can occur depending on the procedure and fluoroscopy time.
Two different types of radiation protection headgear with Outlast® temperature regulation are available to specifically reduce this exposure and are tailored to individual requirements.
The models differ in particular in the balance between protective surface and heat dissipation, thus enabling a needs-based selection.
Colors
The aprons are available in different colors and can therefore be adapted to individual requirements and preferences. The selection makes it possible to combine functionality and a harmonious appearance in everyday working life.
